Market Day tomorrow and other Saturday fun!

Saturday is my day at the 104 Street Market. I have lots of new pendants!

In the evening, we are going to see a documentary film called Handmade Nation about the renaissance of artisan made stuff! There is also a sale event preceeding the film which I will mention here as well. But if are you planning to go, you must come to see me first downtown! I can't very well promote an event that I won't be at but this event is worthy! I have been to one of their sale events and they have a great variety of interesting work. Also, they support independent artists - you won' t find Tupperware or home party stuff here. This is at the Trans Alta Arts Barns 10330 - 84 Ave.

Change of Date and more events...

I will be at the 104 St. Market as listed below with one change. September 12 instead of September 26. I have also been added to the list of vendors at the August 15 Arts on the Avenue outdoor market which is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. I will post more details when it gets closer to the date. Also September 25-26 at the Kaledio Festival, a 2 day outdoor event again with the Arts on the Avenue community. I have to tell you, every event I have particpated in with this group has been fantastic. So much more going on then just the sales venue!

I have posted some new pictures to Photo Album 2 and have yet to add some details of prices and measurements, etc.

Summer Market

The 104 Street Market 2009 season starts on May 16 and runs to October 10. I will be at the Aurora Borealis Fireflies tent on June 27, July 18, August 22, September 26 and October 10. The weekends that I am not there, there will be other glass beadmakers at the location as we will be rotating the Saturdays between 9 of us. There will be a good selection and a lot of variety since it will be different beadmakers every weekend.

The market runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3: oo p.m. rain or shine and is located on 104th Street North of Jasper Avenue. See http://www.city-market.ca/ for more info. It looks like it will be a lot of fun! Hope to see you!

Class with Trey Cornette

Beads I made in class. It was hard to decide which side of the bead to show you. They were really a lot of fun to make!

Here is a marble that Trey was making during the Thursday night demo at Bedrock.

Here is Trey demonstrating something with gusto. http://www.treycornette.com/

I bought a marble from him. It is the one in the bottom right corner. It is very cool!
