Free Frit!

I ordered frit (which is little bits of crushed glass in colourful mixtures that I roll the hot bead in to add more colour, interest, depth) from a place in the states and when the package came I realized it was not what I ordered. I looked at the invoice and the order actually belonged to Ulrike in Germany. The lady who sent me the frit said to keep it as a gift (whoo hoo! there were 9 different ones) and she would send mine ASAP.

The beads on the right side and bottom of the picture have been made using the 'lemon grass' frit over silver leaf on dark ivory. Oooooo! I made enough for a complete set - pendant, bracelet, earrings, and cell phone charm. I really love the effect!

Back to the studio today for more. I was supposed to be making 'earring' beads and that was it but I got distracted by my creative side.
